Vintage Target Brownie Six 20 Box Camera

The Kodak Brownie Target Six-20 is a box-type camera from the 1940s. It is based on the Kodak Target Six-20 which was produced starting 1941. The facade has a strong symmetrical geometric pattern echoing the 'Kodak Girl' stripe. The body is metal and covered in leatherette. It has two reflecting brilliant finders.

The Target Brownie Six-20 is a basic box camera manufactured by Kodak in 1941, part of a long design lineage that includes both the earliest box Kodaks and the very last bakelite box cameras Kodak made. This model was replaced by a similar design model named Brownie Target Six-20 in 1946. There are minor internal differences and a different Art Deco design on the fascia, but functionally.

The Kodak Brownie Target Six-20. Not to be confused with the Target Brownie 620 made in 1941, the Kodak Brownie Target Six-20 was made from 1946 until 1952. It has the Art Deco stripe design on the front plate that was common back in the era of skyscrapers. Kodak created the Brownie box camera in 1900 as a way to offer photography to the masses.
